Annika is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist joining our team since moving to North Carolina from Kentucky. After completing her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Western Kentucky University, Annika gained a variety of experience in pediatric outpatient, acute care, long term acute care, and skilled nursing facilities. She completed a master’s thesis about social engagement in nursing home residents during her education that sparked an interest in completing research and staying up to date with evidenced based practices. When not working, you will find her with her growing family, trying new coffee shops, or reading fiction! Annika is excited to join the Dysphagia Voice Therapeutics growing team.
